Reverse Engineering
In 2005, Yahoo and Google circulated internal email about my site. How do I know? Well, my site was swarmed with a couple of hundred simultaneous sessions from each company. Yahoo even crashed my server. And I saw the trackback of the URL that was emailed.
That swarm was an interesting insight into the geographical and network layouts for each company. A study in contrasts. Yahoo is highly decentralized with at least 50 different geographical areas around the globe while Google was concentrated into five or six locations, mostly in Mountain View.
I'm fairly sure that Google is using anonymous IPs out of Level 3 that run high bandwidths, Based on timeframe context and later log entries. This was my first experience at reverse-engineering my IP logs and I was surprised by what I could deduce.

My First Hack
My first hack was in 1979 and depending on your frame of reference, it occurred at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama or the Presidio in San Francisco. I gamed the U.S. Army into an early, honorable discharge from my voluntary enlistment. I knew nothing of memes then but it's interesting that I may have spawned one which spanned almost thirty years.
I didn't know about Carlson's Air Force Special Police connection until 2000, when I spent $2K to discovered why he and my Mormon friends showed such a disconnect in behavior versus information.
I knew about the Mormon-Seattle Goth connection from watching my information trails. It's measurable but tenuous and it was nice to get a confirmation from the bartender at the Vogue. And I expected to be banned from the Vogue before I first walked in the door, I do have a good understanding of clique/cult behavior, although I had no idea of what the timing or excuse would be.
And why have my despicable Anarcho friends suddenly appeared?
So, PT girls.
What is your disconnect?
Why does your behavior vary so radically from the information at hand?

Daily Dominique Update
One prank phone call.
One missed call with no message.
And twelve searchs on my name.
Three did more than a cursory search, the volume winner is in Jerome, ID.
Apparently now she's trying to appeal to the masochist in me!
But her minions aren't cooperating.

Ego Constraints
Most endeavors require specific knowledge domains structured in certain ways. And most times, that knowledge domain exceeds the capacity of an individual. These projects require teamwork, a certain... synchronicity of mental context.
I've learned from watching the goth and anarcho-capitalism cults that some organizations are poorly designedj for large-scale cooperation. There's a myopic focus on the individual, re-inforced through a community groupthink effect. These communities attract certain vocations, vocations of singular effort like painters and photographers.
"Individual vs. community" is a popular debate with Billy Beck (the Master Anarchocapitalist). I knew that the Anarcho argument dissolves when dipped into the economics of work specialization but now I see a corollary argument in terms of team size and required knowledge domains.
The pure Anarcho system is incapable of certain sized endeavors. The goth community is incapable of certain thought or action, focused mostly on immediate self-interest.

Dominique's Rant
I did't get much bleedover traffic from her rant, perhaps fifteen readers, and most seemed apathetic with only a few clicks. There was an interesting trace back into the Mormon community - Boise, Jerome and possibly Brigham Young University.
I re-traced the click path of one determined reader, reading my own website through their eyes and I suspect that embarrassment outweighed outrage. I am probably old news to most of her readers.
The Girl Who Cried Wolf.
I thought of Billy Beck drop-kicking a minimum wage shoe clerk in the name of the Free Market, and how sad it was. Perhaps the Internet has altered the public perception of "Crusaders".

Renton, WA
Information always leaves a fingerprint...
Some poorly-done phone harassment from Renton, WA. I don't need a phone number, I can cross-reference by timeframe to my IP logs since it was probably a spur-of-the-moment action. BTW, I wasn't able to make out the music that you played, the volume was far too low. What, is that you, Carlson? Hilarious.
I don't care.
It's an technical exercise in network forensics, though.
The flash of gun fired at night reveals the location of the shooter. Likewise, posting links reveals the size and location of your readership.
Here's one location...

The Poison Temple
To truly understand the Dominique Saga, you'd probably need to read this site -
Poison Temple by Dominique
And understand why it no longer exists.
I brought the Poison Temple down.
I didn't plan to, but my chemistry didn't mix well with their intentions.

Uranium II
I mentioned uranium on Feb 1, 2007 at $70/lb. It's now at $95/lb, a 35% gain in 10 weeks, and I say U is good for $120/lb within the next 6 months.
Edited:Oops, U really did hit $113 yesterday, I thought it was a rumor, so I suppose the preceding prediction is meaningless.
What the heck, I'll make another. Uranium will hit $150 within a year, and the percentage bet is that it breaks $200 within two years, based on prior historical peak price in the 1970s, inflation rate and global supply and demand.

Hollywood Beach
I spent the day in Hollywood Beach, a somewhat seedy beach area which reminded me of the beach areas around Santa Monica. Drank a couple of glasses of pinot noir with an excellent chocolate mousse.

Melissa
Last week I left some printouts at the Billiard club. Spring WebFlow docs, AspectJ docs; tech stuff that I sometimes read during dinner. Public documents, yes, but they have impressive fonts and diagrams!
I'd guess that Melissa the waitress is first-generation of Cuban or Columbian heritage. Early twenties, not beautiful, but broad, symmetrical facial features, not fat, but a sturdy, tan and sexy body. Luscious jet-black hair.
"Did you get your papers?", she asked with concern. How sweet. She'd found them and put them aside for me.
"I didn't read anything, I folded them up and put them away", she's practically breathless with concern. My god, she's serious.
"Ahh, good", I said. "Now I won't have to kill you!"
Her eyes widen and she blinks once...
"Hey, come on, I'm just kidding you, thanks for being so conscientious", and now she's flustered, talking too fast, she wants a conversation and... wait... is she flirting with me?
Yikes.
That's the second one in two days.
I'm not sure I can stand fast against an invasion of tanned, breathless twenty-somethings setting their sights on me.
Yeah.
I'm think I'm going to use Aspects in this project.
Keep them restricted to security and logging functions.
