Nodal I/O Determines Structure

Low I/O:   These nodes can support wide spans of control, so one node can manage many other nodes. Large corporations tend to have low I/O job positions in order to minimize management costs. Organizations become bureaucratic ( embed knowledge and rules into job positions ) in order to grow larger.


High I/O:   High I/O is necessary for dynamic structures, or structures subjected to dynamic environments, but are inefficient and don't scale up well.
