Nodes: High Bandwidth versus Low Bandwidth

High I/O:   A node can represent a java class, a market participant, a job position or a network server. For a better understanding of transaction costs, let's examine two extremes of nodal behavior. At one extreme, a node may be devoted to external inputs, outputs and influences, with little interior logic or data.

A high I/O node might be a java class with high coupling to other classes, or a job position in a small company or rapidly changing industry.

Low I/O:   At the other extreme, a node can contain its logic and data with little reliance on external I/O. Examples might be a java class which executes business logic, or a job position in government or a large corporation.
