The Mythical Man Month curve has several parts, some of them implied:

• The complexity (scale) of a project
• The range of team size
• The leverage provided by current tool and methodologies

The curve's sweet spot represents optimum resource use, where the scale of the project is impedance-matched to the team size and its leverage.

If project success is closely associated with the sweet spot. there should be a normal distribution of successful projects that center on a specific combination of complexity, range and leverage.
